How to make the most out of your Snug Ear box!
Snug Ear – In-Depth Instructions for Use
Follow these step-by-step instructions to ensure the best results with Snug Ear, providing a comfortable, natural look that lasts up to a week.
Step 1: Prepare the Skin
For maximum adhesion and longevity, start with clean, dry skin behind the ear.
Wash the area behind your ear with mild soap and water. Tip: Most bar soaps work well as they contain agents that remove oils. Dry completely using a soft towel—moisture and oils can weaken the adhesive. Avoid applying lotions, creams, or oils before application.
Step 2: Find the Right Placement
Before applying Snug Ear, determine the best placement for your ear shape and desired look.
Stand in front of a mirror and gently push your ear back to see where you'd like it positioned. Hold a Snug Ear strip without removing the backing and test different placements behind the ear. The ideal position is usually just above the halfway point on the ear for a natural correction, but it's completely up to you! Tip: Use your phone or a handheld mirror to check positioning from behind.
Step 3: Apply the Snug Ear Sticker
Peel off one side of the backing. Hold the sticker by its edges to avoid touching the adhesive. Press the adhesive strip firmly onto the back of your ear in the spot you decided on earlier. Ensure the edges are stuck down properly, as they are the first areas to lift over time.
Step 4: Attach to Your Head
Remove the remaining protective backing from the other side of the adhesive strip. Gently push your ear back towards your head and press firmly. Hold for 30 seconds to secure the bond. Press around the edges to reinforce adhesion.
Step 5: Wear & Enjoy
Snug Ear is practically invisible, so wear it with confidence. You can shower, exercise, and sleep with Snug Ear, as it is water-resistant. Avoid excessive pulling or rubbing, as this may weaken adhesion.
Longevity: Each application can last up to a week, but duration may vary based on skin type, activity level, and exposure to water.
Step 6: Removal Instructions
To safely remove Snug Ear:
Gently peel from one edge – do not pull abruptly. If the adhesive feels strong, apply a small amount of warm water or baby oil to help loosen it. Once removed, wash the area to remove any residue. Tip: If redness or irritation occurs, give your skin a short break before reapplying.
Troubleshooting & Tips
If Snug Ear isn’t sticking well: Ensure your skin is completely clean and dry before applying. Press firmly for at least 30 seconds during application. Avoid touching the adhesive with your fingers before applying.
If Snug Ear falls off too soon: Excessive sweating or oil buildup can reduce adhesion. Try cleaning the skin with an alcohol wipe before applying. Ensure the adhesive is firmly pressed against the skin during application.
If you experience irritation: Snug Ear is hypoallergenic, but if irritation occurs, discontinue use and allow your skin to rest.
Storage & Care
Store Snug Ear in a cool, dry place away from moisture. Keep out of reach of children when not in use.
